About my area

I am absolutely besotted by Le Gers and am truly living my best life here! The Gers is a land in southwest France, nestled in the heart of the Gascony region, to the far west of the Occitanie, the Gers has a lot to offer! It is the most rural region in France, but remains internationally renowned for its gastronomy (duck, melons, Armagnac) the charm of its rolling hills, which are covered with thousands of sunflowers during the summer, the breath taking views of the Pyrenees, the quality and... read more

About my area

We moved here from the UK in 2019 and live in a small village near Nogaro where the Paul Armagnac race circuit is situated. We quickly opened our gite, Suite Armagnac and have worked hard to rent it out over last few challenging years. It’s a real joy to welcome guests to our property. We love to meet people from different countries and cultures. Also, I am lucky enough to be able to offer well-being treatments such as, Indian Head, Thai Foot Massage and Hopi Ear Candling in our beautiful... read more

The Gers is a land in southwest France, nestled in the heart of the Gascony region, to the far west of the Occitanie, the Gers has a lot to offer! It is the most rural region in France, but remains internationally renowned for its gastronomy (duck, melons, Armagnac) the charm of its rolling hills, which are covered with thousands of sunflowers during the summer, the breath taking views of the Pyrenees, the quality and diversity of its architectural heritage; not to mention Gascony hospitality. The adjectives used to describe this welcoming area are tranquility, le savoir-vivre (knowing how to live well) and authenticity. Either on the D’Artagnan tracks, (D'Artagnan being the most famous of the musketeers) or on the pilgrimage trail to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, by bike on quiet, lonely roads, or by horse for unforgettable adventures, the Gers provides many opportunities for the holiday maker. From North to South and from East to West, it is a mixture of beautiful landscapes and gourmet eating. The coast is 1hr 30smin away and skiing 1hr45mins. Great cities such as Toulouse, Bordeaux and Pau are within 2hrs. close

We love to meet people from different countries and cultures. Also, I am lucky enough to be able to offer well-being treatments such as, Indian Head, Thai Foot Massage and Hopi Ear Candling in our beautiful grounds. I relish this as it’s relaxing for me and it’s a great feeling to know that you are helping others too! We have met so many friendly people here, including my colleague Jane Snow whom I partner with at Leggett. We met at French class, and hit it off straight away. I had always wanted to work in real estate; I’m passionate about property and love meeting people, it’s the ideal job for me. In the UK I was a Deputy Head teacher in an Infant school so a lot of my skills/experience were transferrable. My garden is my office and my commute is the rolling countryside. We have been so busy and I’m loving every minute! close
