About my area

I live in Lot-et-Garonne Region 47 which is one of the original eighty-three departments created on March 4, 1790, as a result of the French Revolution. It was created from part of the province of Guyenne and Gascony; originally the territory of the ancient county of Agenais constituted nearly the whole. Lot et Garonne has been described as the Tuscany of France for its long hot summers and temperate winters. About my area

After holidaying around France over many years, often on a motorbike, we were always taken with the warmth and friendliness of the French. The decision to find a holiday home followed naturally and we bought an old stone house in a small village in Lot et Garonne.  Rod -my husband and I spent as much time as possible here finding it really easy to integrate into the local way of life and make many French friends. After holidays finished it seemed difficult to go back to the U.K with the crowded streets, poor weather and stress of the horrendous daily commute. Life is short and in 2011 we decided to take the plunge and move here permanently to enjoy the wonderful food, wine but particularly the local way of life. Our only regret is that we did not do it 30 years earlier! Having the experience of a holiday home and being a resident here I understand the region and how to match your requirements to what is available. I will always do my best to help you find your "dream home", if I don't have a property that exactly fits your budget or criteria at the moment let me know and I will help you find your perfect property. close
