Construction and layout of the chalet
The semi-basement ground floor, done in traditional construction with thick concrete walls and paving, lets you start the tour via the entrance hall, connecting a garage, boiler room, and a 2-room studio with separate external entrance, bathroom and hallway (in need of complete renovation).
Also on that level are 2 cellars, separate WC, and the stairwell leading to the next floor. A separate woodshed can be accessed from the outside on that level.
Level 1, is the first floor above the ground with 5 rooms.
This floor has direct level access from the terrace and park.
This floor (also done in traditional construction in slag concrete), comprises a large living room, dining room a kitchen, a hallway with door to the driveway, and a corridor, staircase leading down to the ground floor and up to the second floor.
Also on this first floor are 2 bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with balcony, dressing room and bathroom, bedroom 2 with washbasin.
Level 2. Attic floor. 5 rooms + annexes
Access via internal staircase or via the terrace and 3 steps through bedroom 4. On this floor you will find 5 bedrooms with washbasins, a WC on the landing, and a separate shower with sink unit. Bedroom No 3 is a very spacious bedroom with balcony and spectacular views and separate toilet (washbasin and water heater) as well as a fireplace and storage room with cupboards.
Roof: The roof of the chalet was completely redone with insulation in 1992.
The roof was made of Angers slate with copper zinc work.
The plaster ceilings on level 2 have glass wool thermal insulation. (unused crawl attic space under the roof) . The roof covering the part above bedroom 1 on level 1 was re-done identically in 2006 with steel roofing sheets and waterproofing.
The flat roof covering part of the dining room on level 1 was rebuilt with battens, waterproofing and wooden decking (decking boards) + steps. The canopy covering the garage door and front door + snow guards on the roof were installed in 2014.
