The gardens are irrigated automatically. The forest provides beech and oak wood, which the current owners use for the wood burners and open fires. The house is around 20 minutes from the Lac de Vassiviere with water sports, beaches, cafes and restaurants. It is a similar drive to the market town of Eymoutiers where a Saturday market sells a range of local produce and the town also has a supermarket, shops, bars, restaurants, doctors, dentists, pharmacy and Cinema.
It is a 5 minute drive to Lacelle which has a direct train link to Limoges
The house is located in one of the best areas in Europe for star gazing with little light pollution. The area is rich with wildlife, and is a great area for outdoor pursuits.including hiking, cycling and water sports. It is around a one hour drive to Limoges airport
