The village of Roubia has a post office, hairdresser, junior school and a very popular restaurant/bar, right near the canal. The restaurant is open throughout the year. It has a great outdoor seating area, under shady trees and has a grocery shop too which sells bread, daily and local produce from the surrounding region. It is the social hub of the village.

This house is close to all amenities (Lezignan-Corbières 7kms, Narbonne 25kms, Carcassonne(airport) 45kms, Béziers (airport) 50kms, ) , beaches (40kms), the Canal du Midi and mountains (the Pyrenees and Montagnes Noires ). Spain is less than 2 hours away by car.
The nearest railway stations are Lezignan-Corbières (7kms) and Narbonne (25kms).
