About my area

We are situated in the heart of Les Alpes Mancelles in the spectacular Pays de la Loire where the departments of Sarthe, Orne and Mayenne come together in an area of unspoiled beauty. Stunning scenery with hilly and wooded landscapes which offer a fantastic and varied range of outdoor activities for all the family. Designated a protected area for nature, the Alpes Mancelles will captivate you through its charming villages which have retained all of their old-world character and history such as Saint-Céneri-le-Gerei, classed as one of the Most Beautiful French Villages in France and St Suzanne a superb medieval fortified village steeped in history. Famed for its hiking and walking trails, Saint-Léonard-des-Bois nestles between two hills over 200 metres high, these natural panoramic viewpoints offer breathtaking views above the river Sarthe. Not far from St Léonard-des-Bois, you will find the highest point in all of the north-west of France, "Le Mont des Avaloirs" which is over 400 metres high. We have an abundance of old stone character properties, renovation projects, town houses, gite businesses, farms and building land with varying prices to suit all budgets.

About me

Back in 2004 my husband and I decided we would like a French holiday home so maps out we decided upon Mayenne as it is really easy to get to just a few hours drive from ferry ports, Channel Tunnel or airports. So glad that we came upon this beautiful unspoilt area which has so much to offer. The more time we spent in this calm and tranquil part of France the more we realised how hectic our lives had become in the UK. So in 2014 when we bought our latest house a beautiful old watermill we decided the time was right to make the move and we haven’t looked back since.
