About my area
The Maurienne Valley, where should I start? The Valley has many traditional alpine villages full of charm, beauty and community spirit. Fans of the great outdoors will not be disappointed. The winters are spent discovering the many ski resorts each with their own varied, dynamic and top-quality skiing. As the weather warms the skis are lovingly stored and the bikes come out play. And Wow! what a playground for road cycling enthusiasts this valley offers exceptional experiences over and over again with the famous passes of the col du Galibier, the col de l’Iseran and Mont Cenis amongst others. There is really something for everyone: - Via Ferrata, lakes for swimming, inspiring mountains for climbing and beautiful shady forest walks for hot summer afternoons. The Maurienne with its transport network of both motorway and railway makes the area very accessible, yet far enough away to disconnect and relax. And it’s beautiful!
About me
I grew up in South Yorkshire and even as a young child always yearning for an adventure. At 19 I decided that France, the Mountains and a ski season would be my adventure, and quelle aventure!! After both winter and summer seasons throughout the Alpes my love of the Maurienne is why I have returned, settled and currently raising my three girls (and a family of chickens!), living life in a sleepy and idyllic French village full of heart and soul. In my free time I love to ski, spend time in my garden and keep active and healthy.
