From central England to central Brittany, a definite change!
We moved here when my daughter was four as we wanted a better quality of life for her and a better work/life balance for us. I live in Scrignac in central Finistère. Finistère is translated as “The End of the Earth” and we can believe it sometimes with the peace and quiet and the rugged countryside of the Monts d'Arrée. It’s rural central Brittany, with small, picturesque villages and the welcoming French & English communities, but the closest beach is only 40 minutes away and we’re only a train ride to Rennes and Paris!
