About my area

Brittany is a fantastic place to live and my husband and I are in a great central location. We are close to the ferry ports of Roscoff and Saint Malo (less than 90 minutes), to the airports at Rennes, Lorient and Brest and only 15 minutes’ drive from Guingamp which has a high-speed train connection to Paris. We are surrounded by history – the medieval towns of Pontivy, Quintin and Châtelaudren are only 15 minutes’ drive way. Best of all, we are close to the coast, where there is an abundance of lovely beaches and restaurants! There really is something for everyone in Brittany

About me

We originally bought our home in Brittany for holidays a while ago. Returning to the UK after each trip became more and more difficult, so my husband and I made a permanent move to Brittany where we now live and work. We both wanted a change of pace and more time to spend in the garden growing vegetables.  We love everything about being in France – moving here is the best thing we ever did! We are tucked away in a quiet village, close to everything we need and only 25 mins from the coast. I really enjoy visiting my commune’s local weekly market, where there is an amazing array of fresh produce and you can buy everything you need! Before our move I worked as Head of Marketing for a major UK recruitment firm, and prior to that in a similar role for the NHS. My first job, which seems a long time ago now, was as a French translator, so it’s great to be in a role now where I get to use my language skills every day – it feels like my career has come full circle!
