The main living space is open plan, also having a double height ceiling for the landing upstairs. Most of the heating for the house comes from a very efficient wood pellet burner, though there are supplementary radiators, that are rarely needed.

On the ground floor are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, and upstairs are a further 2 bedrooms as well as a large open plan area that can be used as a play area, TV room or bedroom.

This property would make a perfect sized family home, or indeed a perfect 2nd home, being closed to several ski stations and the Lac de Serre Poncon.

Chateauroux les Alpes is a beautiful alpine village high up on the flanks of the Durance Valley. It has a south facing aspect, and has a natural population of over a 1000. The population is growing as it is close to several ski stations, like Les Orres, Vars and Risoul, yet it is also close enough to larger towns like Embrun and Gap.
There is a local primary school and the secondary school and college are just 15 minutes away in Embrun
