The toilet (approx. 1.5m²) is separate with a little basin. The first bedroom (approx.9.3) has a single glazed window over the back garden and an electric radiator. The garden is approximately 390m² and is mostly lawn, although there is a good square at the back which used to be a kitchen garden, which would be great if you'd like to grow your own organic vegetables.

The centre of the village is 2.5 km away, so a lovely half hour walk to the popular canoe-kayak centre on the banks of the river Vienne. There are lovely walks in the countryside in every direction. The nearest supermarkets are in L'Isle Jourdain, 5 km from the house, as well as a lovely traditional market and a good selection of restaurants and cafés, water sports on the river including water skiing and wakeboarding, tree climbing, bungee jumping off the stunning viaduct, a zip-wire across the river under the viaduct and a lovely outdoor swimming pool.

The nearest cities are Poitiers (50km) and Limoges (80km) if you need a bit of city life.

If you prefer to drive rather than fly, Caen is 436 km (about 4½ hours driving time) and Calais is about 673 km (about 7¼ hours driving time)
